Argentina: Week 7

One of Hermana Allen's favorite pictures from Texas.

All the sisters in Hermana Allen's district in Texas.

Everything's bigger in Texas right?

A favorite little girl who whispered in Hermana's ear, "Where did you get that chocolate?"

Working in the area book.

So this week was pretty crappy. Mabel didn’t come to church yet again and this time she didn’t actually have an excuse. The family that was progressing may or may not have been told that they cannot come to church while they are living in sin, which does not make any sense to me! That is contrary to the scriptures, which is what happens when you have members that don’t actually read the Book of Mormon. I was pretty sad yesterday. It was one of the harder days in the mission and I just wanted to go home and sleep. We had planned really well for an hour because we had a member come out with us. Yeah, we went through 10 people in one hour. That just added to the fact that we didn’t have any of our investigators at church.

I don’t want to talk about that anymore so I am going to talk about Argentina facturas. Facturas are sweets that are sold at almost every corner and I´m sad that they don’t really have anything like them in the states. Their churros are awesome, especially the filled ones. I will have to take a picture of a panaderia and send it so you can see the wonderfulness that I´m talking about. They also have a store just for plastics next to our apartment, which is kind of funny.

Don’t get me wrong: yesterday was hard, but I still love being a missionary. Everything about it. This is what I was meant to do with my life and the thought of going home is a little depressing. I hope you all realize that this situation of knowing about me through email will be common, because I really want to serve another mission or the closest I can get to it. I love you all!
